They will singing holiday music and patriotic music from the Andrew Sisters. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Wednesday December 11
In January we will start the year with a program dedicated to our chapter, including a few minutes from each of our current Activities chairs to more fully explain our various committees and field some Q & A about what YOU want from our organization and any any thing you may want to add (pickleball anyone?) We are also looking for assistants to help out with membership and treasurer positions.
When you joined our group you checked off several boxes regarding your interests and particular areas of expertise. Please let us know if you would like to see something that interests you get started, especially if you can help initiate the new activity.
If you have expertise in certain areas that you think you can utilize to help energize our chapter please let a Board member know.
If your background includes experiences that you think may have interest for the organization, please offer to be a speaker for one of our monthly programs in 2025.
We need to find speakers for 9 programs for 2025, so if you or someone you know about would be a good speaker for the group, please let us know.
With your help we can have a dynamic, active, enthusiastic and energetic program of events for 2025 and beyond.
Those of you with technology backgrounds are encouraged to reach out to me to help form a technology and digital marketing committee. Current members of our computer club may form the nucleus of this new group, but we are especially interested in relatively tech-savvy newer members to help with revamping our website, newsletter, on-line RSVPs to events and registration and on-line payment for events, article submissions to traditional media outlets and social media marketing on FaceBook, LinkedIn and others, and other engaging systems to improve our internal processes for ourselves and to act as more efficient outreach vehicles to attract new members.
Also if any of you recent retirees from large local companies like Chevron, Kaiser, US Navy or any other group that has an HR Department that offers retirement services, advice and transition assistance or that have formal Retiree clubs, please reach out to them to see if we can make a presentation to them, or provide me the info so that a member of the Board can reach out to them.
Thanks for all your support in 2024 and we are looking forward to an amazingly fun and energetic year in 2025!
Happy holidays to all of you and your families, and remember that we are all part of your extended family.
