Big Sir Bevin Hong
May is a great month to get moving again. The weather is better, the days are longer, and it’s a perfect time to get out of the house and stay active - physically and socially.
One of the best things about SIR is that it gives us plenty of opportunities to do both. Whether it’s golf, cards, bocce, coffee, beer or wine meetups, or just coming to the luncheon, every activity is really about the same thing: staying connected and enjoying life with a good group of friends. Many of our activities are co-ed, and wives and significant others are always welcome—especially at our luncheons.
You don’t have to do everything. But I’d encourage each of you to pick one thing this month - try a new activity, bring a friend, or simply show up and sit with someone you haven’t talked to before. Small steps like that are what keep our branch strong.
Let’s make the most of the spring season and keep the momentum going.
See you at the next luncheon!
Thank you for being part of SIR.

A Note From Your Little Sir
Our speaker for May will be Judith Pierce the Public Education Officer for Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District. This is your chance to learn more than you ever wanted to know about mosquitoes in Alameda County.
She will do an overview of the mosquito life cycle, ways to decrease mosquito sources, new mosquito's and potential diseases that have arrived in our area and new technologies they are using to control mosquitoes.
Should be an informative and educational discussion . Look forward to seeing everyone on May 7th.
