Greetings fellow SIRs
Well fall has arrived and we continue to get lots of mild and sunny days which is a blessing. Our golf and bocce ball players have appreciated this mild weather.
I wanted to express my appreciation to Little SIR, John Roberts for arranging a very interesting presentation by Jean-Michel Di Nicola, the laser systems chief engineer from the National Ignition Facility at Lawrence Livermore Labs. His talk on the breakthrough of nuclear fusion was well received and I've had some positive feedback by our members. We have been offered the opportunity to tour the facility at Livermore Labs. There will be a sign up up sheet at the October luncheon, if you'd like to join the tour... Dates to be finalized... If not able to attend the luncheon, please send an email to [email protected]
As we approach the holiday season, we will some soon be selling tickets for the SIRs Christmas luncheon which will be held on December 7th at the San Ramon Golf club. Please mark your calendars... More details will be coming soon...
We received a total or 51 responses to our branch survey. Please see attached for the survey responses. We will present a summary of the results at the September luncheon.

ANNOUNCING!! GALA CHRISTMAS 🌲🌲 CELEBRATION AT OUR DECEMBER LUNCH MEETING!!
A reprise of the uber successful 2022 event. Caroling, gifts, festive atmosphere and a surprise visit from St Nick if he’s sober enough. Significant others and friends are welcome. Tickets for $35 per person will be on sale before the October and November meetings. They may also be purchased by mail (check payable to SIRS 34). Check must be received by November 18th.
