Newsletter comment from the Big Sir:Greetings my Fellow Sirs, I hope that our August Luncheon will be well-attended to hear about Federal Cybersecurity. Our Speaker for the August 4th luncheon is an Assistant Special Agent in Charge of Cybersecurity, based in San Francisco. He comes to us as a highly recommended, interesting speaker. I know his subject will be of great interest and no one has to use their own names when asking any questions. (He’s not from the IRS!!!)
So, my tenure is half over, and all of our activities are alive and doing well. The beer, wine, bocce, and poker attendance is higher than ever. Golf is always popular (although I have been banned from that sport for reasons I’m not going to say).
To pique interest in future luncheons, I ‘m happy to announce that a Docent from the USS Hornet is scheduled for September, In October, a fire Chief will relate interesting information about the Oakland Hills fire on the 31st Anniversary of that event, and November, the month we celebrate our veterans, I have a representative from the Bay Atea Honor Flight Organization.
And December, who knows, maybe a Christmas Party!!!
