However, we are offing a special early bird discount for paying between now and the end of January for only $30.
Please bring your check to our lunch in November, December, or January.
If you cannot make it to the lunch, you can send your check into Pat Fowler.

Attention Golfers: Please do not make us chase you down for your SIR membership dues (separate from your golf fees) again this year.
Chasing down several golfers for SIR membership dues has been an annual tradition for this Chapter, and we really need you to be proactive this year,
and take responsibility to pay your SIR annual dues as soon as possible, as 90% of the golfers usually do. :)
The SIR State Board has removed any restrictions for community outreach and charity support going forward.
With so many of our neighbors entering into a new period of Food insecurity, we will be looking at working with local food banks, Meals on Wheels,
Culinary Angels, and/or other local support organizations to help out, as well as increase visibly for the SIR brand.
If you are currently involved with any of these groups, please reach out to any SIR Board member or Activity Chair to help us select the right organization(s)
to support and perhaps assist us with introductions and logistics.
Happy Thanksgiving. I am VERY Thankful for my fellowship with you my SIRs brothers and I look forward to a great time with all of you next year
under the leadership of our new President/Big SIR for 2026, Bevin Hong.
See you soon, Stay safe and warm.

Dear Fellow SIR Members,
A Note from Your Little SIR – November Update
November Speaker: Michael Singleton – President, Honor Flight Bay AreaWe’re excited to welcome Michael, President of the Honor Flight Bay Area Foundation, as our November luncheon speaker. With Veterans Day around the corner, it’s the perfect time to hear about this remarkable organization that brings veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor.
Michael’s story is an inspiring one. Born in Bedford, England, he came to the U.S. in 1955 when he was adopted by a U.S. Air Force veteran and became a proud American citizen. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1964, serving nine years and completing three tours in Vietnam aboard the USS Kretchmer (DER 329). After his military service, Michael spent time teaching electronics at Great Lakes Naval Training Center before being medically discharged due to Agent Orange exposure.
He went on to a long and successful career in the tech industry, holding leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard, Leasametric, and Sun Microsystems before starting his own logistics company. In 2014, Michael discovered Honor Flight and began volunteering to help fellow veterans make their journey to D.C. Over time, he took on more responsibility—helping with logistics, serving as a flight leader, and now leading the entire Bay Area chapter as President.
Michael’s passion for serving veterans shines through in everything he does. We’re looking forward to hearing his stories and learning how Honor Flight continues to honor those who served our country.
