Bill Staack & Bill Junge:
The board met on October 7th at Walnut Grove Park, we took another look at Luncheon Meetings for November and decided to have an in-person luncheon meeting on November 4 at the San Ramon Country Club. Luncheon starts at 11am. Remember you must be fully vaccinated and have a signed waiver on file in order to attend any in-person SIR function. Speaker to be announced, we look forward to seeing everyone once again!
Speaking of the board, several members term on the board ends December 31, 2021: Bill Staack, Jim Benham, Larry Lindsey and Dick Small. We are in need for a Little SIR, Recruitment Chairman and Newsletter Editor. Please contact Bill Junge if you are interested in any of these positions, or if you'd like to be on the board in any capacity. We especially need someone to take over the duties of the monthly newsletter. Technical experience is not required, use a word processing program to create the newsletter, or any free program such as Mail Chimp or Weebly or whatever meets your comfort level. Let Bill Junge or Dick Small know if you are willing to take on this job.

Beer Group: The sirs beer group is meeting at Mc Kays on Main St in Pleasanton at 3 :30 on Thursday Oct 7 th. It is an outside event and we are meeting early to avoid the after work crowds Please attend only if you are fully vaccinated See you there Steve
Wine Outing: Plans for an October Wine Event are fluid, more information will be forthcoming soon.
Breakfast Group: Will meet outside at Vic's All Star Cafe on Wednesday October 27th at 9am. Make it a point to be there, it's a good gathering with lots of friendly banter.
Golf: The golf group has had a great spring and summer. We have had just about full groups every Monday. We played some nice courses and some courses that needed some work. Scott is working on next year’s schedule, he's added some nice courses for the 2022 schedule. We are going to make our next Dublin outing into a luncheon and scrambles tournament, that always seems to bring the group together at the end of summer.
Bocce: The bocce group always gets together for fun and competition the first and third Tues at the Pleasanton senior center at 9 am We have been getting a solid group of 10 plus every time, come out an join us, it's fun.
History Club: History Buff meetings are now outdoors at the Pleasanton Sports Park at corner of Hopyard and Parkside. Our next meeting is scheduled for Wed 13th 10am. Pull into the first parking lot and look for Steve Jackson and the group at a nearby picnic table in the shade. Bring your own beverage. Bring your own interested items also for show and tell. Steve Jackson also provided interesting information about: Marquis de La Fayette, Robert Carter and The Maginot Line
