Greetings to all my fellow SIRs
May is the month of flowers and Mother’s Day. For most of us, our Mother is a distant memory but her legacy and traditions certainly remain. All of us can be grateful for the lessons that she taught us. Hopefully our daughters are carrying on some of the same traditions.
I want to alert you to a special program that I have arranged with an old friend and fellow surgeon for the May meeting. Dr. Michael Baker is also a retired Rear Admiral USN who has been working in Ukraine teaching trauma medicine to surgeons there. He has quite a bit to share with us so be prepared for a great presentation.
I promise no blood will be spilled at the meeting.
Also remember to bring your checkbook to the May 2nd luncheon as we will be collecting for the picnic on June 20. There will be no July meeting in lieu of the picnic.
