SIR Branch 34 Newsletter
Big SIR
Jack Parker
Jack Parker
Hi to all and Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I want to thank Carl for his service as Big Sir last year. He did a great job. As we start the New Year, Sirs 34 is in good shape.
When I first joined Sirs, it was for the golf program. As I expanded my own involvement in the many other activities, I found that I enjoyed Sirs even more. With the newer activities added over the past 3 years there is something for everyone. What I am saying is “get involved” in something that interests you. If you have a particular interest that’s not a part of Sirs, give me a call and let’s see if we can make it happen. We want all of the new ideas we can get.
If you are not sure of how to go about joining any of the groups, call me and we will get you set up. All of the groups in Sirs are very welcoming. Just let them know that you are interested.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Our guest speaker for January will be Vicki Nickolas. Vicki is a licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser with the Hearing Aid Center at Costco Wholesale in Livermore. She will be providing information on hearing testing and the latest in digital hearing aid technology. Vicki has been a guest speaker at other Tri-Valley SIR branches.
Big Sir 2016
I like to take this moment to thank all the member of Sirs Branch 34 for their support of me through my years as Little Sir and Big Sir. Especially want to thank Board of the Executive Committee. For without their support my tenure would not have been successful. There are so many members who really help me out and I just want to thank everyone for their support these pass two years.
I have decided to stay on the board and become our New Sir Jack Parker, Secretary and I have taken on the role of Sunshine. This can only work if successfully if you let me know ASAP if someone has taken ill for has passed away (spouses as well). Contact: (925) 967-8177 or email: [email protected]

your help.
A nice note from Buck:
Tom, As Treasurer you and the rest of the officers must be commended to have a budget that hasn't changed from a $20 donation in the 20 years I have been a member.
