The September the free lunch when to a member who has been and still is very active in our branch: Tom Reif. Tom has been our Treasurer for a number years. He is at front desk every month collecting lunch money. He keeps actuate records of incoming money and expenditures, plus he has an excellent handle on all our expenses. If you ever want to check out the books, just give him a call.
At the upcoming October meeting we will be having 3 very special guest attending our luncheon:
Don Dill - President of the Sirs Organization
Ed Benson – Regional Director
Ron Saltgaver – Our Area Governor
Remember is you see a member who has a dot on their name badge go up to them and welcome him aboard. Let’s not forget these new members. Remember the phrase from Mark Twain: THERE ARE NO STRANGERS IN THIS WORLD JUST NEW FRIENDS WE HAVE NOT YET MET.
Last month at our meeting we held our elections for 2017 and here is the following position and names:
Big Sir 2017 – Jack Parker
Little Sir 2017 – Adrian Verduzco
Treasurer – Tom Reif
Secretary – Carl Churilo
Also Jim Benham has become our newest Board Member, looking forward to working with Jim.
Last note: if anyone is interested on being backup chairmen for any of our activities let Jack Parker or myself know. We offer great pay, super pensions, extended vacation, and it’s all tax free.
Little SIR

LARRY LINDSEY
Our September wine experience was held in Murphy's Ca on September 20. 20 couples spent the day exploring Murphy's and tasting some fine wine from the region. That evening we has a fine meal in a private dinning room at the Historic Murphy's Hotel.
Click Here to view a slide show of this fun wine event.
Our next wine tasting will be Tuesday October 11 at 6:30. The event will be hosted by Bill and Karin Staack, 4766 Woodthrush Ct, Phone: 462-1487/ e-mail: wcstaack@comcast.net. The wine for the evening will be any wine of your choice.
We do not have a host for our November wine tasting. We would like to have one in November because we will not have a wine tasting in December. We would also like to have someone who has not hosted this year to volunteer for November. Please contact Larry Lindsey, larrylindsey@hotmail.com , if you have questions or would like to host a tasting.

Those of you who want to learn how to dance can sign up for inexpensive lessons at Livermore Community Center, Dublin Senior Center, San Ramon Community Center, and Two Left Feet located in Danville. We may be getting up there in our years but we can still move around a dance floor and its great exercise as well. If you’re interested in any Ballroom Dancing and places when to go dancing call me Carl 925-967-8177 or email me at carl@churilo.com or go to the below Website for dance events all over the Bay area.
